Getting into Melaka state
Anyone coming from outside Malaysia would first need to fly in to Kuala Lumpur. There are many carriers to choose from at varying prices, depending on how early you book your flight. From the airport, you would need to make your way to KL Sentral, the main transport hub, to catch a bus to Melaka.
Bus options are inexpensive. Your ticket should cost MYR 20 - 50 for a one way trip. There are many bus operators and most of them offer online booking a month before the travel date. We recommend that you book bus tickets as soon as possible as interstate travel by bus is very popular on weekends.
Mission Day Melaka organisers are arranging for a bus to go from KL to Melaka. Please contact your Faction Representatives for further details.

Getting Around Within Melaka
We would recommend that your first choice for transportation around Melaka be via Uber or Grab. Both these services allow for cash and cashless payment. You can download Uber or Grab via the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store.

While there are taxi queues at the entrance of all hotels, shopping malls and most office blocks, it is not recommended to patronize their services as they frequently refuse to use the meter.

Should you need a taxi, please choose the "GrabTaxi" option in your Grab app - this guarantees you a trackable and metered ride.

If you are driving yourself around you may park at Mahkota Parade Parkson. The rate is RM3 for the first hour and RM1 for subsequent hours.

Verification
1. Once you have completed at least 6 Mission Day missions please proceed to the booth at Independence Memorial and show your Scanner to the verifiers.
2. Be sure that you have registered on the Ingress Events page prior to the event and have completed only the Official Mission Day Missions
3. The verifiers will be looking for your Agent Name on the RSVP list.
​4. Check your email for the RSVP from Niantic.

If you encounter problems verifying your completed missions with the verification staff please contact agent @expediter on Telegram or in person at the verification booth.

1. Mission Creator: MissionsByNIA
2. Mission Titles all start with "MD, Melaka"

Simcards
We recommend buying SIM cards from authorised retailers (shops that represent only one telco) to avoid disappointment. These retailers can be found in the airport or shopping malls.

Airport
Both KLIA and KLIA2 have telco counters where SIM cards can be purchased. These are generally located at the arrival hall.

Shopping Malls
There are plenty of telco counters as well as authorized retailers located in popular shopping malls such as Mahkota Parade and Dataran Pahlawan.

You may come across authorized telco retailers at commercial areas - these would look like shops selling cellphones, and will usually also provide SIM card purchasing services
